Julian Sayin already had the California connection with former Alabama quarterback Bryce Young, but the two now have another as the 5-star quarterback was named an Elite 11 finalist.

Here is a description of the event:

"The Elite 11 Finals will bring together top performers to receive advanced, one-on-one quarterback instruction in a highly competitive setting. The Elite 11 Finals will span three days and include on-field drills, routes on air, classroom instruction and off-field development. The Elite 11 will be named at the conclusion of The Elite 11 Finals."

Elite 11 has a long list of quarterbacks that went on to have great collegiate and even professional careers. In 2019 alone, the class contained Young, Auburn's TJ Finley, Texas A&M's Haynes King, and former Ohio State quarterback and Elite 11 Finals MVP CJ Stroud.

The most recent class, 2021, contained two quarterbacks Crimson Tide fans know very well: Texas' Quinn Ewers and potentially Alabama's next starting quarterback, Ty Simpson.

Los Angeles was the first location of the regional Elite 11 event in 2023, and there are a total of eight different locations until the finals at the end of the summer, where the best of the best compete for MVP honors.
