As the Alabama Crimson Tide make their run through the NCAA Tournament, the team is facing a bit of a tough situation surrounding their star and leading scorer as Brandon Miller is currently dealing with a groin injury. And on Monday, Nate Oats gave a little bit of a concerning update on the Alabama star.

During his appearance on his “Hey Coach” radio show on Monday afternoon, Nate Oats revealed that Brandon Miller’s injury was bad enough that he missed practice on Monday. However, he does seem to think Miller will be ready to play in Friday’s game against the San Diego State Aztecs.

“He didn’t practice today,” Oats said, according to Mike Rodak of AL.com. “He rehabbed it. We’re going to limit him tomorrow again, try to get him in on Wednesday and see how it feels on Wednesday. The goal is to have him 100% healthy by Friday.

“I think he’ll be ready to go Friday. This obviously is one of those deals where we’re gonna have to nurse it until the season’s over, really.”

It’s definitely a concerning update for one of the top stars in the tournament. We’ll have to see how Miller’s situation develops over the course of the week and how limited he will be during Friday’s game.
