SCARBOROUGH, Maine — Roughly 200 people participated in a cornhole tournament in Maine to raise funds to honor those who died in the Lewiston mass shooting. Eight of the 18 victims killed during the October 2023 shooting died at Schemengees Bar and Grill, where a cornhole tournament was being held at the time.

Andrew Shepard was hired as the new Confidential Resource Advisor (CRA), filling a position after a nearly semester-long vacancy. Formerly known as the Sexual Assault Victim’s Advocate (SAVA), the name was changed to be compliant with a new state law.
