The Frontier Communications Commonwealth Telephone company had the last of its public hearings Thursday night in Tunkhannock, Wyoming County.
Those hearings are due to complaints about poor phone and internet services throughout the area.
The company says in a statement--"We've been taking steps to address the concerns raised by our customers in the Northern Tier and have made progress, including by hiring more techs and eliminating substantially all of our customer installation and repair backlog."
NazAarah Sabree, Office of Small Business Advocate who attended the hearing said, "So today we had over 40 businesses and residents collectively. It's very important and the Public Utility Commission needs to hear directly from them. The amount of people that have shown up shows that it's not just one person experiencing these issues but it's a collective issue around the area."
Previous hearings were held in Wellsboro and Towanda.
Frontier says customer complaints have decreased since the beginning of the year.
