T-Birds shut out Highclimbers

The Tumwater girls soccer team scored five goals in the first half and cruised to a 5-0 win over Shelton in 2A EvCo play Thursday.

The result saw the Thunderbirds (7-0, 4-0 2A EvCo) go over 500 consecutive shutout minutes. Tumwater surrendered a goal in the first minute of its opener against North Thurston, and hasn’t conceded since.

The T-Birds will take on Aberdeen in a road contest next Tuesday.
