TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Police said a suspect accused of kidnapping a 15-year-old girl in Tulsa was arrested in New York on Wednesday.

Police said officers were called to a home in north Tulsa for a missing person report on Wednesday around 11 a.m. A woman reported her 15-year-old daughter had not been seen or heard from since 9:30 a.m.

Tulsa Police investigated and determined the 15-year-old had met the 25-year-old suspect online and had been communicating with him for several months. They also determined the suspect had obtained nude photos and videos from the victim over the course of that time.

Tulsa Police Detectives determined the suspect took a bus from Elmira, New York, to Tulsa to meet with the 15-year-old girl. Police said the suspect then kidnapped her and flew back to New York City with her on Wednesday.

The suspect was taken into custody at the LaGuardia International Airport in Queens, New York, early Thursday morning with the help of Port Authority Police Benevolent Association Inc.

Tulsa Police said the suspect and victim were both found in a secluded area of a terminal in the airport.

The victim was placed into protective custody, given medical attention, and will be reunited with her family, police said.

"We are working closely with our federal partners who will be handling the charges involved in this case," Tulsa Police said in a Facebook post. "Because of that, we are not able to release the suspect's identity at this time."

At fifteen, she knew EXACTLY what she was doing. Her "age of innocence" ended a long time ago if she was sending nude photos of herself.

He is out on bond because everyone is given that right. Being liberal, conservative, republican or Democrat doesn't matter. As a matter of fact, if fingers need to be pointed, why didn't her parents monitor her social media better? Why did they unknowingly let this go by for several months?
