TPD helicopter stays busy, police say

TULSA, Okla. — Police 1, Tulsa Police's helicopter, had a busy day Tuesday.

Police say the helicopter helped catch a stolen car suspect who led multiple agencies on a chase.

According to police, 39-year-old Randolph White was spotted in a stolen SUV around 5 p.m. Tuesday near 56th Street North and Peoria.

Police ended the chase when it went outside city limits, but the helicopter kept following and helped other agencies catch White in Adair.

Later that night around 10:45 p.m., air support crews located a missing juvenile and helped bring her home safe.

Around 11:10 p.m., police say the helicopter helped catch a knife-wielding domestic violence suspect who unsuccessfully tried running from the helicopter.

Police say despite being called Police 1, the public might better recognize "Sky Snitch" and "Sky Pig."
