Tulsa Police recover stolen car, suspect claims it was purchased from drug dealer

TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department arrested Haley Adair after she was found with a stolen car at a gas station in north Tulsa on Sunday.

Police say they were alerted from the Flock Safety System about a stolen Ford Focus near Independence and Sheridan.

Officers later found the car at a gas station near Sheridan and I-244.

Police say officers saw Adair walk out of the store and start pumping gas into the car.

Adair said she recently purchased the car from a drug dealer and admitted she thought it was weird because the drug dealer typically walks everywhere and does not have a car.

Adair was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle. She falls under the McGirt ruling and will either be prosecuted in Tribal or Federal Court.

Police say the car will be returned to its owner.
