TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
The job of a trooper does not just involve writing tickets, working crashes and enforcing laws, compassion is a big part of the job as well.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol officer Brian Iker arrived on a scene last week about a women threatening to jump off a bridge.
When Iker arrived on scene he started talking with the women in an attempt to calm her down, with his professional and calm attitude he helped de-escalate the situation.
As officer Iker talked with the woman, he and two police officers we able to slowly get her off the bridge to safety.
The chief of police in that area said that Trooper Iker acted professionally, empathetically and courageously to bring a positive outcome to this situation.
