Tulsa Police Department is searching for two people after a chase early Monday morning.
Tulsa police initially stopped a car for a traffic stop at 3:30 a.m. at 5000 East 11th Street.
When police stopped the car, a 2022 Jeep Gladiator, the vehicle took off heading East on 11th, then down to 15th Street.
During the chase, the passenger jumped out of the car and took off on foot in the area of East 13th and 73rd Avenue.
When the suspect crossed South Memorial Road, TPD said they appeared to have lost control of the vehicle, struck a concrete flood channel abutment, and then crashed head-on into a telephone pole. The pole split and the vehicle rolled over onto its side.
When police inspected the vehicle, the driver was gone, suspected of leaving through the opened sunroof of the car.
After a close inspection, police found no sign of injury inside the car. Although the seatbelt buckled presumably behind the driver, TPD said they found no evidence of blood or head impact on the windshield.
Multiple agencies found no evidence of ejection in the surrounding fields, roads, or neighbor’s yards.
Tulsa police currently have no suspect information available at this time.
