TULSA, Okla. - Cool temperatures hang around as you head out the door on before a slight warm up in the afternoon hours.

Here are the details from News On 6 Meteorologist Alan Crone:

Southerly flow has returned to most of the state on Wednesday with increasing low-level moisture quickly streaming into the area ahead of our next strong upper-level storm system. This brings a chance for a few storms late Thursday night with higher chances early Friday morning near or southeast of the Tulsa metro. Any storm activity that develops during this period could become strong to severe. As the system quickly moves east Friday midday, strong southwest winds, warmer and much drier air arrives Friday afternoon. This will create a very high fire danger issue by Friday afternoon with southwest winds 20 to 50 mph, humidity between 15% to 25%, and afternoon highs Friday into the upper 70s and lower 80s. A pacific front moves across the state Friday night with slightly cool and breezy conditions Saturday with highs in the mid-60s. Windy and warm weather continues for a few days next week before our next strong upper-level system scoots across the middle part of the county by Wednesday with additional storm chances returning to the state.

Temps will start on Wednesday morning in the 30s and should move back into the lower to mid-60s by the afternoon with abundant sunshine and south winds from 15 to 20 mph. A few clouds will be possible, mostly across southeastern OK. Windy, cloudy, and warmer weather is likely Thursday with highs in the 60s. South winds are likely Thursday from 20 to 40 mph. 

As the main upper-level system nears the region, strong winds aloft will blast across northwestern Oklahoma early Friday morning allowing a dry line to surge east. As this feature moves east, scattered storms will attempt to develop near and southeast of Tulsa. Despite the early morning hours, a few of these storms could become severe, including all modes of severe weather. As the system quickly moves east, the severe weather threats will be increasing along the OK-AR state line by midday before exiting into western Arkansas where a higher risk of severe weather is likely to occur.
