The ninth edition of the Oklahoma Jewish Film Festival returned on Sunday.
The Jewish Federation of Tulsa and Circle Cinema partnered to organize the Oklahoma Jewish Film Festival with the founding sponsor being the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies.
The film festival features seven films from around the world for five days at the Circle Cinema, starting Sunday and ending Thursday, March 30, 2023.
Each film explores common themes of Jewish identity and culture in ranging in multiple different genres including comedy, drama, documentary, and narrative cinema.
On Sunday, the first film that premiered was "America", a drama about an Israeli man who returns home after 10 years in America and has a life-changing encounter with his childhood best friend and fiance.
Other films include "Farewell, Mr Haffmann", "One More Story", "Our Almost Completely True Story", "Cinema Sabaya", "Space Torah", and a double feature of "Jewish Journeys in Space" and "Mission of Hope".
Circle Cinema is selling tickets online and in person for $12, and $60 for an all-festival pass.
