Suspect arrested by Tulsa police for drugs, shopping cart full of stolen cigarettes

TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
The Tulsa Police Department says it arrested one man with drugs and a shopping cart full of cigarettes.

On March 23 around 3 p.m., TPD responded to a business near 41st and memorial for a trespassing call.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found Joey Peigne sitting in front of the business with a shopping cart.
Police say Peigne admitted to trespassing and to possessing marijuana without a medical card.
TPD says they found a bag with drugs inside which a field test showed positive for fentanyl and methamphetamine.
Officers recovered more than 350 packages of cigarettes and cigars, all believed to be stolen.
Peigne was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County jail for trafficking fentanyl.
