The Tulsa Police Department arrested two people for allegedly stealing coins from a washing machine at an apartment complex.

Police say on Tuesday just before 9 p.m., they were called out to the Waterstone Apartments near 61st and Peoria for a report of two people using a crowbar to steal coins from washing machines.

When officers responded, a security guard had Haley Clark and Vernard Marzett in custody.

A witness reported she saw Clark come in with a crowbar and tried prying open the washing machine. After she was not successful, the witness said Marzett came in to help Clark.

Officers found a BB gun that was indistinguishable from a real gun.

Both Clark and Marzett were booked for burglary of a vending machine.
