Tulsa Police Search For Men Who Led Authorities On Overnight Chase

Tulsa Police are looking for at least three men who led officers and Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers on a high-speed chase overnight.

Tulsa Police say the chase could be connected to a recent homicide investigation.

According to OHP, the chase started after a trooper spotted a black Dodge Charger traveling 112 MPH along I-44 around 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday night. Troopers say a pursuit began after the driver refused to stop.

The chase, which involved OHP and TPD, came to an end after the driver got off the freeway and stopped at the Cobblestone Apartments near East 51st Street and South Memorial Drive. Authorities say that is when two people fled from the vehicle, prompting authorities to pursue them on foot.

OHP says troopers pursued the two suspects, but when more troopers arrived on the scene, they found the black Dodge Charger was gone.

Tulsa Police say they believe a third person may have been in the back seat and drove off with the car once authorities began the foot pursuit.

Authorities say they did not end up finding the two people who fled from the vehicle and believe they may have run into one of the apartments at the complex.

Officers say they found a gun on the ground at the apartment complex and OHP says the Dodge Charger is still missing.

Police say they believe the chase could be connected to last week's deadly shooting at the Cobblestone Apartments where someone fired shots through a second-floor bedroom window, killing a 19-year-old woman.
