Police arrest 2 in connection to south Tulsa homicide

TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
Tulsa police say that have made arrests in connection to a south Tulsa homicide.

On March 19, police responded to reports of a body found near 71st and Lewis.
Police found 46-year-old Garett Cooper dead from a gunshot wound behind a business' building.

Through an investigation, detectives determined that 40-year-old Steven Lee Gillis had shot Cooper on March 15 around 7 p.m. and ran away.
TPD says Gillis was located, arrested, and questioned.
Detectives also located 36-year-old Ashley Abel and questioned her.
Police say Abel is being arrested for accessory.
No other suspects are being pursued at this time, according to TPD.
