Through a partnership with Upcycle, residents can order discounted rain barrels which can be used to harvest rainwater and can help prevent stormwater runoff from picking up pollutants as it drains into the streets.
Each 55-gallon repurposed rain barrel comes preassembled with a mosquito screen, overflow spigot, and linking capability.
Barrels can be ordered online and cost $69.50.
Rain barrel orders can be picked up from the City of Tulsa's Household Pollutant Collection Facility during the following times:
- May 5 and May 12 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- May 6 and May 13 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Rain barrels not picked up at the event will only be available for 30 days afterward
