Raiderettes wallop Culleoka 52-20
The Moore County Raiderettes kept their winning ways going this past week at home, running the Culleoka Warriors out of the gym in a 52-20 romp. Raiderettes Ellie Graham, who led all scorers with 14 on the night and Makenzie Goodwin, who had 13 for the home team, combined to outscore their guests themselves as the rout was on in the second period after a low scoring first frame that saw the Raiderettes led by Anna Harder who canned a long ball for three and two apiece from Caroline Parker and Katie Fletcher. Moore led 7-5 at the end of one.
BASKETBALL: Lady Raiders blowout Blackman; boys comeback falls just short
The rematch between Blackman and Coffee County’s girls lacked the drama of the first round. Coffee County jumped all over the Blaze on their home floor, building an 18-2 lead and then hanging on to cruise to a 56-34 win. It was the Lady Raiders’ third straight win over Blackman.

The Coffee County Lady Raiders were playing with heavy hearts as they took on Blackman in Murfreesboro on Friday. On Friday morning, assistant coach Matt Vinson’s dad and Lady Raider junior Olivia Vinson’s grandfather passed away. Legendary coach Joel Vinson was a fantastic coach and teacher in Manchester for many years. The gym at Westwood Middle School is named in his honor.

Death, taxes and beating Tullahoma. It has become common practice for Coffee County Central’s Lady Raider basketball team and Friday was no different. Coffee County jumped out to an 18-4 lead in the first quarter, held off a second half run and cruised to a 46-34 win over Tullahoma at Joe Frank Patch Memorial Gymnasium. It was Coffee County’s 21st win in the last 22 games over the Lady Cats.
