Renters and homeowners impacted by this winter’s storms are now getting more time to apply for FEMA assistance.
This spring, the agency gave people in several counties, including Madera, Mariposa, and Tulare until June 5 to apply for relief.
Tuesday, FEMA announced the deadline is being extended to July 20 -- that's another 45 days.
The agency says as of June 2, it had approved another $33 million in federal assistance.
