Lauren Ayers won the 3,000 meters at the OSAA 6A track and field state championships.
Tualatin’s Lauren Ayers utilized a 70-second lap bell to drop the field and win the 3,000-meter state title at the OSAA 6A track and field state championships on Friday, May 26.
It was only the third time this season that Ayers has ran in a 3K, and her final split was enough to create a five-second gap on the field, comfortably winning in a time of 10 minutes, 1.57 seconds.
