Botetourt Co. fire crews battle heavy flames
FINCASTLE, Va. (WSET) — Fire crews in Fincastle had a busy night Thursday, when they were dispatched to a garage fire. Just after 10 p.m. the Fincastle Volunteer Fire Department was alerted to a fire in the 3800 block of Springwood Road. Botetourt County Fire and EMS arrived to find a large detached garage completely engulfed.

Roanoke, Danville named All-America Cities
Danville and Roanoke are in the national spotlight. That’s because both took home All-America City Awards from the National Civic League. The 75th annual All-America City Award event brought 20 finalists to Denver, Colorado, and announced 10 of those finalists as All-America Cities. Roanoke gas prices down seven cents over the last week
ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - Average gasoline prices in Roanoke have fallen 7.3 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.24 per gallon Monday, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 155 stations in Roanoke. Prices in Roanoke are 10.6 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and 4.9 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 6.7 cents in the last week and stands at $3.75 per gallon.
