Emergency personnel were called to the scene on East Market Street in Tresckow this afternoon after multiple buildings went up in flames. Crews from multiple counties have been called to the scene of a fire destroying at least two homes in Carbon County.
Firefighters were faced with heavy fire to the rear of the two homes, but it quickly spread to more. A total of four homes and a garage were affected.
"We made a fairly aggressive attack on the back because water supply is limited here, called in a bunch of tankers, went to multiple alarms just because the heat today, and the physical work it took on the firefighters,” said Fire Chief Robert Leshko McAdoo Fire Company.
The McAdoo fire chief says with the heat recently, there've been frequent brush fires popping up-- but can’t say the fire had anything to do with that.
There were no injuries reported today.
