HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Two people were found dead Wednesday in northwest Harris County, according to Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman.
Herman said a man and a woman were found dead at a house on Lakewood Field Drive near the intersection of SH 249 and Spring Cypress Road in the Tomball area.
According to Harris County Sheriff's Office investigators, it appeared to be a murder-suicide.
Investigators said the man, in his 70s, and the woman, in her 60s, were married for a long time but had been having marital issues for a while. They lived in the house together.
The couple's daughter told authorities that her husband went to the house to get a ladder and noticed that both of his in-laws' cars were still there, which was odd because they would usually both be at work.
He called his wife, who had a key to the house. When they walked in, they found the couple dead in the kitchen.
Authorities said they were both shot to death.
