The 400 Mile Yard Sale gets underway, continues through the weekend

The 400 Mile Yard Sale is officially underway all along U.S. 68 and those looking for bargains and treasures will be out through most of the weekend.

The annual sale stretches the length of U.S. 68 across the state and there will be more booths than you can count set up from one end of the state to the other, including locally. One such sale is in the Daysville area of Todd County, where Teddy Hutchison says they’d already seen a good amount of people taking advantage of the beautiful weather Thursday morning, where they have plenty of items up for sale.

Along with finding great deals, several sales and events will benefit local agencies with fundraising, including the Christian County Animal Shelter Dog Days of Summer event going until Saturday at their location at 2935 Russellville Road and then a big yard sale benefiting Max’s Hope Pet Rescue at 177 JP Campbell Road in Hopkinsville.

A map of other yard sales and events can be found online at 400mile.com. Motorists are reminded to use caution while out driving this weekend and to keep an eye out for slow moving vehicles or pedestrians in the roadway who are seeking out the bargains.
