Three local districts award nearly $36 million in community school grants
Three local school districts have been awarded nearly $36 million in grants to establish community school programs. Porterville Unified School District received the bulk of the money as it was awarded $26 million to establish community school programs. In addition Burton School District was awarded $2.85 million and the Strathmore Union Elementary School District along with three other districts was awarded $6.65 million.
