Sidewalk improvements are coming to Hickory Road and Stringer Road. The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners unanimously voted May 21 to award a $3.6 million contract to Sol Construction, LLC, for the Hickory Road and Stringer Road sidewalk improvements project. Baldwyn man charged with Saltillo shooting incident
SALTILLO – A Prentiss County man has been charged in connection with a Saltillo shooting where one man was injured. Saltillo police were called to the Cedar Stone apartments Saturday May 18 for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived at the complex just off Mobile Street near Highway 145, they found a male who had been shot. He was treated for non-life threatening injuries and was able to identify Omarion Givon Barnett as his attacker.
