The Hello Kitty and Friends Cafe is Coming to Southern California

Universal CityWalk is adding a fun new attraction with the opening of the Hello Kitty® and Friends Cafe and the Sanrio® Smile Shop on Friday, September 6, 2024.

Located in Universal CityWalk, the Hello Kitty and Friends Cafe is designed to charm guests with its playful aesthetic. The cafe’s exterior is hard to miss with its giant Hello Kitty bow and pastel pink-and-white awning. This walk-up venue is perfect for grabbing a quick treat, and for those who want to relax, outdoor seating is available under cute umbrella-covered tables.

The Hello Kitty and Friends Cafe will serve up a menu featuring Sanrio-themed goodies. Expect an array of sweet treats and specialty drinks that showcase the fun and colorful world of Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll™, My Melody™, Kuromi™, and the rest of the gang.

Right next to the cafe, the Sanrio Smile Shop will offer fans the chance to bring home collectible merchandise featuring Hello Kitty and her friends. The shop will feature several different products, including plush toys, accessories, and more.
