After a five-year hiatus, the Ready, Set, Soar Women’s Empowerment Brunch is set to relaunch in the DMV on Saturday, August 10th, at The Space: LBI Collective in Waldorf, MD. This event is part of the Ready, Set, Soar Empowerment Series, which was created by Washington, DC native Tiea Whitaker in 2018 and includes webinars, workshops, teleconferences, and empowerment brunches.
The Vision Behind Ready, Set, Soar Empowerment Series
The Ready, Set, Soar Empowerment Series was developed with the mission to uplift, build, and connect women from various backgrounds. It aims to provide participants with tools and resources to help them shift their paradigms, achieve happiness, and pursue their goals.
Promoting Unity, Collaboration, and Community
Central to the Ready, Set, Soar Empowerment Series is the emphasis on promoting unity, collaboration, and community among women. The series seeks to create a supportive environment where women can come together, share experiences, learn from one another, and find common ground. This approach moves away from narratives of competition and focuses on genuine networking and support.
The return of the Ready, Set, Soar Women’s Empowerment Brunch signifies a continued commitment to fostering female empowerment and community building. This year’s brunch will feature a networking mixer, a panel discussion, and opportunities to engage with small business vendors. The event will include a diverse lineup of speakers, such as Carla Harvey, Sandra Nnjai, Neema Ali, DJ Pynk Dyamond, Urania Jackson, DJ Honey, and Jamilah Rose. Special guests will include Dr. Marsha Carter McLean, Uganda TheGoddess, Media Moni, Garine Dalce MBA, LMSW, Tameka Moore, and Shareen Jackson.
Catering will be provided by Chef Monie, Founder of CM Signature Cuisines.
Building a Supportive and Unified Network
The Ready, Set, Soar Women’s Empowerment Brunch focuses on changing the narrative of how women interact by building a community where women can share their stories, offer support, and encourage one another. This approach aims to create a unified network where women can reset, recharge, and face new challenges with the strength and encouragement they need.
The event will be filmed, with a portion to be included in the Crown Her Reality TV Show, which is currently in production on URPower22 TV Network.
