Highlights from Saturday in high school spring sports:

Oaks Christian's Chase Farrell set a meet record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.51 seconds — the second-fastest time in the state this season and tied for third best in area history — at the Maurice Greene Invitational on Saturday at Oaks Christian School.

BOYS TRACK AND FIELD

At Maurice Greene Invitational

  • Oaks Christian: Chase Farrell set a meet record in the 100-meter dash (10.51), the second-fastest time in the state this season and tied for third best in area history. Chase Hansen set a meet record in the 400 (48.96). The Lions placed second in the 4x100 relay (42.47).
  • Camarillo: Eyouel Abate (4:36.62) and Diego Montag (4:39.85) placed 1-2 in the mile. The Scorpions won the 4x800 relay (8:16.02).
  • Thousand Oaks: Jeremy Frank was second in the 110 hurdles (14.57) and third in the 300 hurdles (39.54).
  • Buena: Grant Molina won the high jump (5-11). Colin Guenther was fourth in the 110 hurdles (15.54).
  • Foothill Tech: Jacob Lombardo was second in the high jump (5-10). Cole Dinkler was third in the pole vault (13-3).
  • Westlake: Adam Laycock won the discus (159-5) and was second in the shot put (47-5.50). Malikai Bowens was third in the triple jump (41-8).

GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD

At Maurice Greene Invitational

  • Oaks Christian: Niya Clayton won the 100 (11.81) and 100 hurdles (14.82). Rayah Rodriguez won the 400 (56.32). Danielle Irvin won the long jump (17-7.50). Eleanor Borchard won the 300 hurdles (44.84). The Lions won the 4x100 relay (47.95) and 4x400 relay (3:57.44).
  • Camarillo: Ava Crouse won the shot put (37-6). Alana Sugue won the pole vault (11-9) and was second in the long jump (16-4-50). Trinity Tipton won the discus (125-9) and was third in the shot put (34-8.50). Kimberly Willard was second in the 800 (2:19.44). 
  • Royal: Quincie Richards won the triple jump (36-9.50). 
  • Thousand Oaks: Madison Thai won the high jump (5-4) and was second in the triple jump (34-5.75). Charlie Updegraff was second in the 300 hurdles (45.58). Taylor Dominguez was second in the pole vault (10-3).
  • Newbury Park: Kyra Terry was second in the 100 (12.16).
  • Westlake: Kenna Bradley won the 800 (2:18.60). Arielle Per was second in the shot put (35-11.50). Johanna Cummings was third in the triple jump (34-1.50). Claudia Turner was third in the pole vault (9-9).
  • Agoura: Jenna Johnson placed third in the mile (5:39.27).

BASEBALL

  • Tanner Beltowski allowed a hit and two runs while striking out eight in 4.1 innings to earn the win on the mound, Miguel Magallanes went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Cody Gallegos was 2 for 2 with a double, two walks and two RBIs, and Erick Barron went 2 for 2 with a walk as Buena (9-4, 5-1) beat Ventura 6-5 for its second win over its rival in two days. Wylan Nelson went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, Dash Lopez and Bradley Pedersen each had a hit and an RBI, and Mark Moseley had a hit for the Cougars (4-9, 0-6).
  • Bryce Zavala allowed four hits and an earned run while striking out seven in six innings to get the win and was 2 for 4 with two RBIs at the plate, and Josue Garcia went 2 for 3 with an RBI as Santa Paula (8-5, 7-1) defeated Nordhoff for the second time in two days to sweep their three-game series in the Citrus Coast League.
  • Benjamin Schweit pitched a one-hit shutout with six strikeouts and no walks, Ethan Peña was 2 for 4 with a double, home run and three RBIs, Ethan Walgren went 3 for 4 with two RBIs, Landen Adair and Hector Piña each finished 2 for 4 with two RBIs, Jaxson Herron had a double, and Jacob Campbell, Nico Ficele and Aiden Nykoluk had hits to lead Simi Valley (9-2) to a 10-0 win over Saugus in a nonleague game.
  • Joey Blank went 2 for 4 with a clutch two-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning, Ethan Kearney was 2 for 3 with three stolen bases and two runs scored, James Paul was 1 for 1 with two RBIs, Jayden Garcia was 1 for 3 with an RBI, Will Michelman and Michael Moran each went 1 for 3, and Gavin Trafficanda didn't allow an earned run in 5.1 innings to lead Agoura to a 5-4 victory over Walnut in a nonleague game.
  • Eli Steinhaus had a double and two RBIs, Brady Francisco was 1 for 1 with two RBIs, and Cole Howard and Grant Rodriguez each went 1 for 2 as Thousand Oaks rallied from a 6-2 deficit to tie the game before falling to West Ranch 7-6 in a nonleague game.

SOFTBALL

  • Amanda Smith, Savannah Mitchell and Claire Broberg combined to throw a five-inning no-hitter, Smith had a home run and four RBIs, Zoe Vanderbok went 4 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs, Julia Spradling was 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs, Avery Pryor went 2 for 2 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Kari Sorensen had a double and two RBIs to lead Oak Park to a 13-0 win over Hueneme in a nonleague game.
  • Westlake defeated Poly 13-0 and Harvard-Westlake 8-0. Against Poly, Kaylee Clarkson was 2 for 3 with a home run and six RBIs, Amanda Baldwin had a home run and two RBIs, Grace Roskowick finished 3 for 3 with an RBI, Reagan Beck and Mia Morera each went 2 for 2, Danielle Shinko was 1 for 1 with an RBI, Linden McCarl struck out six in three scoreless innings, and Kaitlyn Bartlow struck out three in a scoreless inning. Against Harvard-Westlake, Nevaeh Serve was 2 for 4 with two RBIs, Celeste Miller was 2 for 3 with an RBI, Cambria Finnegan and GiGi Nerdin each went 2 for 3, Danielle Shinko had two RBIs, Savannah Branham had a hit and an RBI, Bartlow struck out nine in four scoreless innings, and McCarl struck out two in two scoreless innings.
