The Beauty and Chaos of Surfing Malibu During the First South Swell of the Season
The waves at Malibu were incredible during the first legitimate south swell of the season. I filmed this April 18, 2024. For the second part of the new south swell, I headed up to the ‘Bu. I filmed the Wedge the day before, which, as far as wave types go, is the complete opposite.

Working as a civilian security guard at Naval Base Ventura County decades ago, Walter Fuller developed an affinity for the birds living in nearby wetlands at Oxnard’s Ormond Beach.
