    Two charged with trafficking methamphetamine

    JEFFERSON — Ashe County Sheriff B. Phil Howell announces the arrest of Sherre Reavis Clodfelter, 58, of Winston-Salem, and Michael Edward Patrick, 54, of Thomasville.

    On May 14, Deputy Cody Call performed a routine traffic stop on a vehicle. Deputy Call noticed that the vehicle's registration plate was expired. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Michael Patrick, and the passenger was Sherre Clodfelter.

    Deputies found two clear baggies of a white crystal substance that was later identified as methamphetamine. The total amount of methamphetamine that deputies seized was over an ounce. Additional evidence was submitted to the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for further analysis.

    Clodfelter was charged with two felony counts of trafficking methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Reavis was held under a $100,000 secured bond and later released.

    Patrick was charged with two felony counts of trafficking methamphetamine and driving with a fictitious/altered title/registration card/tag. Patrick was held under a $100,000 secured bond and later released.
