Social media users have recently uncovered a series of posts linked to an account believed to be run by Ryan Wesley Routh, who allegedly attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump today.

The posts, shared across platforms such as X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook, suggest Routh has been attempting to organize and recruit individuals for various military causes, including efforts in Ukraine, Haiti, and Taiwan.

In a post from December 2023, Routh claimed to have access to "thousands of Afghan soldiers" ready to serve the Haitian national police at "cheap wages." He even shared contact information, seeking assistance in making these arrangements.

This follows a long pattern of posts where Routh has attempted to recruit soldiers for Ukraine's International Legion and other foreign military efforts.

A separate post from August 2023 revealed Routh’s intention to create a “Taiwan Foreign Legion” with trained Afghan soldiers, hoping to attract global volunteers to protect Taiwan from potential threats. Similarly, past posts show Routh offering to fight alongside Ukrainian forces, calling on civilians and soldiers to join him.

Alongside these military-focused posts, Routh has shared controversial opinions, such as a December 2023 Facebook post questioning the historical ownership of Judea, suggesting it "historically all be Palestinian."

These statements, combined with his recruitment efforts, have drawn the attention of online communities and open source intelligence analysts.

Investigative accounts like OSINTdefender have highlighted Routh’s actions, questioning the legitimacy and impact of his recruitment attempts.

More information is likely to emerge as both official and open source investigations continue.
