SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies are investigating a possible murder-suicide in The Villages after a man and woman were found dead inside a home.
Sumter County deputies said they responded to a home on San Pedro Drive for a well-being check Tuesday around 10 a.m. When they arrived, deputies said they could see a person laying on the floor inside.

When they entered the home, deputies said they found a man and woman dead of apparent gunshot wounds.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, but deputies believe it was a murder-suicide.
