Mike Wolfe drops $4k on rare and ‘beautiful’ Coca-Cola signs from Alabama collector in clip ahead of new season premiere

AMERICAN Pickers star Mike Wolfe has paid $4,000 for several rare Coca-Cola signs in a clip released ahead of the Season 26 premiere.
The History Channel star has made his affinity for the soda maker’s signage known in the past, showing off a pricy sign from the brand while cleaning up his Iowa antique shop.

Mike , 60, appeared in a teaser clip from the upcoming season of American Pickers , taking fans inside a pick in Alabama.
The TV personality and his brother Robbie Wolfe scoured through an Alabama collector’s treasures until they happened upon numerous Coca-Cola signs.
“Those are Coca- Cola signs and this Army-Navy Surplus store got them all and painted them out in black and then lettered them with his store name,” the collector explained.
“Now I’ve got a picture of one that has been stripped. They look pretty doggone nice once they’re done.”
He went on to explain that a friend of his had done the restoration.
“I’ve got a friend that has one of them. He stripped the paint off of it and restored it to a beautiful Coca-Cola sign and I think it has a date stamp on it for 1948 or 1949,” he shared.
The collector had eight or nine of the signs, and Mike was extremely interested in some of them.
Ultimately, Mike took a gamble on the signs, paying $4,000 for all of them, or $500 per piece.
“I think the risk of the $4,000 purchase is all on Mike. I think the potential is tremendous, but if I’m wrong, he’s got a four by eight sheet of tin,” the collector said in a confessional.
Mike took to his Instagram Story to show off his antique Indian motorcycle.
Smokestack Lightning by Howlin’ Wolf played over the post.
“Let the games begin, Davenport Iowa Baby!” appeared in a caption across the story, referencing to the Davenport Antique Motorcycle Swap.
Robbie sold two motorcycles of his own for $14,000.
He showed off his Benelli 650s and Hercules motorcycle in a video posted to his Instagram.
“These bikes will be a for sale at the Davenport antique motorcycle swap meet starts next Wednesday,” he shared in an Instagram post.
“14k gets the pair they belong really in another museum that people can enjoy them. One is Benelli 650S the other is a Hercules rotary look at the details?”
UNDER CONSTRUCTION
In addition to his expensive antique items, Mike has been putting serious work into his $700,000 Tennessee home .
On August 18, The U.S. Sun exclusively confirmed that two years after buying the historic home, the American Pickers star was completing renovations.
Photos obtained by The U.S. Sun showed that Mike extended the house entrance into a turret or small tower, typically seen in castles.
The turret window was not yet installed, and a piece of wood sat in its place.
The roof of the tower was also still under construction.
Mike appeared to have added an awning to the front porch area of his home to provide shade.
In June, he revealed, “We’ve been restoring this house in @visitcolumbia TN for a few years now. Were beyond Excited to finally start the process of installing Cupola on this 1873 Italianate.”
“This very historic part of the house has been missing for decades and I’m honored to be the one that brings it back to its original state.
“We will keep you up to date on the progress. Columbia has many historic districts to explore come see what the excitement is all about,” he concluded.
It’s unclear whether Mike intends to live in the home or sell it.
