More Details About The Bodycam Footage Of Colt Gray & Colin Gray
According to TMZ , the Jackson County Sheriff released the footage of the then-13-year-old and his father on Monday, September 9. The footage was reportedly recorded while the department was investigating an alleged school shooting threat Colt “made on the social media platform Discord.”
Per CBS News , at the time, the specific school targeted in the alleged threats was “unspecified.” However, TMZ adds that the threats allegedly were made toward a “previous school” Colt attended.
Furthermore, the eighteen-minute footage shows authorities arriving at the Gray home. Colin Gray opens the door for officers as one informs him that they received a “tip from the FBI” about “someone… who made a threat to shoot up a school.”
While speaking with police, Colin explained that he and Colt’s mother had separated, and they had been evicted from their previous home. Additionally, Colin explained that his son initially “struggled a bit” in school. However, he had recently been doing better.
Here’s What The Pair Told Authorities About The School Shooting Threats
As the conversation continued, Colin confirmed to the officers that he had weapons in his home which were accessible to his son.
“There’s nothing loaded, but they are there,” Colin explained.
Additionally, his father explained that he and his son hunt deer together. However, he was “shocked” by the report of threats.
“I’m trying to teach him about firearms and safety and how to do it all,” Colin said. “…So he knows the seriousness of weapons and what they can do and how to use them and not use them, so it’s kind of a little bit of a shock so… please instill in him [Colt], that wherever this has come from, this no joke.”
Furthermore, Colin explained that Colt was “getting picked on at school,” and they’ve shared numerous conversations about school shootings.
About eight minutes into the footage, Colt steps outside to speak with the officers. He alleges that he never made the threats and “promised” he would “never say” anything “like that.” Ultimately, the officers explained that they were taking the pair at their word.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation , seven people were shot during the ordeal, while nine were injured. TMZ adds that Colin utilized an AR-15-style rifle during the attack, which was reportedly bought by his father.
Per The Shade Room , Colin has since been charged with four felony counts of murder, while his father has been charged with counts of involuntary manslaughter, second-degree murder, and cruelty to children.
“Colin Gray knowingly allowed his son, Colt Gray, to possess a gun,” the GBI notes.
Most recently, Colt Gray’s mother, Marcee, broke her silence on the tragedy and reportedly shared how he tried to warn Apalachee High School moments before the shooting.
All this about the father being held accountable for the sons actions be careful because this is a slippery slope if this keeps going there will be more to follow not just for a case like this but for so much more it can and than likely become a president for much more
