ROCKINGHAM — Trying to go a perfect 3-for-3 in as many days this week, the Richmond Senior High School boys tennis team nearly got the job done. USDA partners with FarmRaise to offer educational tools and resources to promote financial access and equity for agricultural producers
WASHINGTON — The U.S Department of Agriculture today unveiled a new, online Livestock Indemnity Program Decision Tool and farm loan resources available to agricultural producers and cooperators who help producers access USDA disaster assistance, farm loans and other federal farm programs. The new LIP tool and the farm loan informational video resources were developed in partnership with FarmRaise and USDA’s Farm Service Agency. Appeals Court delivers partial victory to bar owners who sued over COVID shutdown
Bar owners who sued Gov. Roy Cooper for shutting them down during the COVID-19 pandemic have won a partial victory at the state Court of Appeals. A unanimous appellate panel agreed the governor had violated bar owners’ rights to the fruits of their labor and equal protection of the laws.
N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission reports additional cases of Chronic Wasting Disease
RALEIGH — The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission is confirming 13 new cases of Chronic Wasting Disease from deer samples submitted since July 1, 2023. This brings the total number of positive results in North Carolina to 24, since the disease was first detected in a Yadkin County deer harvested in 2021.
