Safety and fun combine at BG National Night Out

Roughly 700 community members attended Battle Ground’s annual National Night Out, organized by Prevent Together, at Kiwanis Park on Aug. 6. Community members connected with Battle Ground police officers, firefighters from Fire District 3 and local emergency medical services staff. The event featured food, live music and a Bike Safety Rodeo popular with children. Police distributed 200 bicycle helmets to kids, and dozens of bicycles were raffled to children participating in the safety course.
