    Free summer feeding program starts today

    Jefferson Davis County School district has announced the dates for its free summer meal program.  The summer feeding program is for kids and teens 18 and under and will be served Monday through Thursday from June 3 through June 27. Breakfast and lunch will be served at three locations in the district. Breakfast will be served at Jefferson Davis Middle School in Prentiss from 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. Lunch will be served from 10:30 a.m. until noon.

    Meals will be served at G. W. Elementary School in Bassfield with breakfast being served from 6:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. Lunch will be served at Carver from 10:30 a.m. until noon.

    J.E. Johnson in Prentiss will serve breakfast from 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. Lunch will be served from 10:30 a.m. until noon.

    All meals must be eaten in the cafeteria. There are no grab-and-go meals.

    Adult meal prices are $2.75 for breakfast and $4.25 for lunch.
