Caitlin Clark was shown an old photograph of her holding a basketball as a child while wearing a big smile on her face .

As part of a new trend going around social media where teams as their players to sign something before handing them an image of themselves in their childhood - the Indiana Fever chose to partake with Clark 's reaction going viral.

The WNBA rookie sensation was pictured holding a basketball while smiling, as she was shown the photo before saying: "Gosh, I'm so cute... I lowkey look the same!" Clark's teammates had all been shown their photograph with the girl's laughing before posing their image.

In recent days, the trend been flying all over TikTok with multiple NFL teams partaking, with the Los Angeles Chargers' video going viral before the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury had done the same.

The Fever's social media team had decided to follow in their footsteps, with the video being an instant hit, which saw Clark's teammate Grace Berger having to tell a teammate a dog from her childhood photo had died.

Another of Clark's teammates, Erica Wheeler, had been shown an image of herself while laughing at the length of her t-shirt with many on the team laughing when being shown.

Clark looks set to end her first season in the WNBA by winning the Rookie of the Year award after Angel Reese suffered a season-ending injury, after helping the team clinch the playoffs earlier this month - doing so for the first time since 2016.

The Fever had been the worst team in the league for two consecutive years before Clark arrived, with the rookie almost single-handedly rerouting the organization's fortunes while more than living up to the hype that surrounded her following her incredible collegiate career with Iowa.

Through her first season in the WNBA, Clark has averaged an incredible 19.1 points, 8.4 assists and 5.9 rebounds while also registering 1.3 steals per game - being seen as a top five candidate for the regular season MVP.

Clark had seemingly been in a race for the award with Reese, but while many had been of the belief that the former would have won, Reese's season-ending injury will assure that Clark does take home the award ahead of her. Clark paid tribute to her rival, stating: "Congratulations to her, I thought she had a tremendous year, and I thought she came to the league and really did what she's done well her entire career, as long as I've known her. So it's definitely devastating."

when Clark was recently asked what she saw as what she believed would be her legacy of having played in the WNBA, her answer was "I don't know, that is a tough one. I am 22 years old but see myself as a ten year old just playing a game I love".
