General Hospital fans were left outraged after soap star Laura Wright's recent apperance on a podcast accusing her "Robin erasure" as she seemingly dismissed her impact on the show.

Laura, who has starred as the fan favorite character of Carly Corinthos since 2005, recently guest starred on the podcast The Daily Drama hosted by General Hospital stars Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson . As she joined her co-stars on the pod, she dished about Jason and Carly's connection on the soap and how she felt that Carly was the first person in Port Charles to fully accept him.

She explained: "When Carly met Jason it was a time when no one in the Quartermaines accepted him because they wanted who he used to be back. And she was the one who loved everything about him, for who he was in this moment.” She went on to add that she felt this was important to the storyline as she felt that it was a big deal for Jason to feel accepted.

After the episode aired, many fans were left fuming by the comment as they accused Laura of completely dismissing Robin's role in Jason's life. Robin Scorpio, played by actress Kimberly McCullough, was an on and off character on the soap for over 30 years since 1985 and was one of the first people fans felt Jason connected with on the soap.

After Laura's remark one fan took to X, formerly Twitter, and wrote: "#GH The Robin erasure is INSANE. INSANE.” And another agreed: "I thought the same thing! Robin was the first person to accept Jason after the accident. She was there when he woke up! And she knew him before so her acceptance was HUGE to him.”

After Laura caught wind of the backlash online, she was quick to clear the air and express her love and appreciation for Kimberly's character on the show. On X Laura responded to GH fans: "Oh my gosh, you guys it wasn’t a Robin erase – I meant in the world of the Quartermaines (to my knowledge) my gosh. Let’s have some grace and kindness – I love the show and all the characters and the actors – nothing but LOVE.”
