Autumn Danielle Cleveland has been found dead in her car just days after she was first reported missing.

The 23-year-old Taylor Swift fan was reported missing last Saturday before being found dead two days later. Autumn was found in her blue 2018 Mazda CX5 in Dayton, Maine.

It's believed Autumn had been staying in a rental home in Maine . She checked out on the Saturday morning before contacting her father, mother and sister, according to reports . Autumn hadn't been in contact with her family since that day.

She was last seen driving the 2018 Mazda CX5 around southern Maine. Authorities have since confirmed it was the same vehicle she was found in.

Someone had called 911 on Monday at around 3:30pm to report a dead woman inside a parked car near Goodwins Mills Road in Dayton. The woman in the vehicle matched Autumn's description.

Maine State Police have issued a statement on Autumn's death. It read: "An update on missing person Autumn Cleveland: On Monday, September 2, 2024, at approximately 3:27 PM, a 911 call was received reporting a deceased female was inside a vehicle parked near the Goodwins Mills Road in Dayton.

"The female matched the description of a missing person out of Newport News in Virginia, 23-year-old Autumn Cleveland. The State Police Major Crimes Unit South responded and started an investigation into the incident."

They insisted there is no danger to the public, but said the death remains under investigation, pending an autopsy to determine the cause of death. When asked by Portland Press Herald , a spokesperson would not comment on whether her death is suspicious.

Autumn had been planning to return home to Virginia for the holidays. She planned to spend her birthday on November 14 with family before going wedding dress shopping with her sister.

Autumn's heartbroken parents described her as "soft-spoken" and anxious. Her mom Renee Cleveland said she was "very selective about who she let into her life".

"When she picked you, when she loved you, family or otherwise, there wasn't any other love like hers," Renee added. "Her love languages were different than most. She showed you in tiny ways."

Remembering Autumn, her sister Brooke Cleveland said she was "very selfless". Her family also recalled her love for "Taylor Swift, cats and every type of sweet treat, especially chocolate". Michael Cleveland, Autumn's father, also said that anyone who met her "fell in love with her".

A GoFundMe page has been created by a family friend to help Autumn's family. The money will go towards funeral expenses, as well as travel between Virginia and Maine.

"As the family navigates through this difficult time, your generosity will help to ease the burden of expenses and allow them to grieve without worry," organizer Christy Clements said.
