Family of exotic bulldog breeder and mom-of-four found dead in woods has harsh 7-word warning to cops

The family of a woman found dead in the middle of the woods in North Carolina are desperate for answers surrounding her mysterious death as they think foul play was involved and says "it’s a gray area of what happened" in a stark statement to cops.

On July 16 the Brunswick County S heriff's Office discovered the missing body of 32-year-old Alba Jo Doreen Wade in a wooded area off Colonial Landing in Bolivia after she was reported missing . Investigators did not clarify if Wade had been killed , stating simply that the was "deceased" and that the investigation "remains open and is ongoing," adding that "there is no danger to the public."

Police have still not determined her cause of death, but Wade's loved ones say they believe foul play was involved. One of Wade’s best friends, Anastacia, says she believes someone did something to Wade and is asking anyone who knows anything to speak up for the deceased mother-of-four who she called her "soul sister."

“She was just radiant, her energy was radiant and it was infectious," she told WECT . The friends, who met Wade when she needed a hairstylist, said that that they were actually supposed to meet up the day before she was found in the woods but Wade never showed up- something that still haunts her.

“I just didn’t make it in time,” Anastacia said. “Before I got there she was gone. When I got there she was gone. So I’m just left with that. It’s just like this empty space. It’s a gray area of what happened.”

Wade’s family said they expect the autopsy to conclude in October, which still leaves them with unanswered questions about her disappearance and death. An obituary for Wade spoke of the Oklahoma native's love for her four sons and her success as an exotic French Bulldog breeder.

"She created her own logo, breed/bloodline and attended many dog shows throughout the states and taking home many first place trophies,” the obituary said. “Alba was a loving mother of four sons, a caring daughter and a stranger to no one. She was very ambitious and had a passion for shoes, dogs, tattoos, and all things fashion.”

It seems as though a lot of the small town departments are way behind when it comes to technology and forensics, that’s a long time for an autopsy and to not have a response as to whether it’s fall play almost immediately or not is incomprehensible. Homicide detectives should have some idea by now as to what the story is the longer they wait. The less evidence will be discoverable the first 48 hours is critical.
