Meghan Markle wants nothing to do with her dad despite his desperate plea to end their feud

Meghan Markle "still has no contact with her dad" after the pair became estranged six years ago .

Their relationship broke down after Thomas Markle Snr was caught staging paparazzi photos before Meghan's wedding to Prince Harry. Thomas was also forced to miss his daughter's wedding ceremony due to ill health.

The former Hollywood lighting director has never met his grandchildren - Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet - because of the estrangement with his daughter. Thomas has made a number of desperate attempts to reunite with his daughter and said he is "heartbroken" about the way things have turned out.

Meghan, however, doesn't seem to feel the same way. A source has revealed: "Meghan still has no contact with her dad. She does not plan on having a relationship with him, and he has not met his grandkids."

Speaking to Us Weekly about the possibility of Meghan and Thomas reuniting, the source said: "That ship has sailed." The comments come after Thomas has spoken out about his estrangement from Meghan.

"The one thing I never imagined was Meghan turning against me at this point in my life. I thought she would always be there for me. Meghan was mad at me because I posed for some paparazzi pictures before the wedding," he said.

Thomas continued: "I was totally alone and being hounded." He also said he has "apologized repeatedly" for the paparazzi drama. Thomas also took aim at Harry and said he is baffled as to why the Duke of Sussex never made any attempts to meet him.

In an interview the Mail on Sunday , Thomas explained: "Why didn't Harry ever come to meet me? He has the resources to fly around the world - and does ... That has never made sense to me."

He added: "What man gets married without meeting his wife's father?" Despite the pleas to reunite with Meghan, Thomas insisted he "doesn't want pity" over his relationship and said he hopes this period doesn't "define my life".

Meghan previously opened up about their broken relationship during her bombshell 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey. "I grieve a lot," she said. The Duchess of Sussex added: "I mean, I've lost my father."
