Jackson Jobe to make Mud Hens debut Saturday at Omaha

Pitcher Jackson Jobe, one of the top prospects in professional baseball, will make his debut start for the Toledo Mud Hens on Saturday at Omaha, the Mud Hens confirmed Thursday morning.

Jobe was recently called up to Triple-A Toledo from Double-A Erie. He has recorded a 4-3 record in 19 starts this season with a 1.96 ERA, a 1.04 WHIP, and 89 strikeouts in 82⅔ innings.

He is the top pitching prospect in baseball according to MLB Pipeline and the No. 7 overall prospect. He is the No. 2 overall prospect in baseball, according to Baseball America.

Jobe’s start on Saturday puts him on track to make one start in Toledo in the team’s final series of the season against Columbus next week.
