The Talented Texas Wrestlers Found In The WWE Hall Of Fame

Before Wrestlemania, the WWE announce the wrestlers that will make it into their Hall Of Fame; since 1993 over 200 different wrestlers have been acknowledged & honored in their coveted HoF. Among those wrestlers are some of the greatest that were born in Texas or represented Texas. Even though the class started in 93, it wouldn't be until 2004 where we get first Texas wrestler:

Tito Santana

Tito Santana would be the first representing Texas; representing Mission. He would join the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2004.

Eddie Guerrero

Eddie Guerrero, representing El Paso, would join the Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2006. Sadly he would join shortly after his death on November 13, 2005. While I would love to see Eddie live longer and I would've gladly waited a little longer for his induction, I'm happy he's immortalized in all wrestling fans' hearts.

Blackjack Mulligan

The Class of 2006 would see another Texas wrestler: Sweetwater's Blackjack Mulligan (Robert Deroy Windham), one half of the tag team stable The Blackjacks.

Dusty Rhodes

The American Dream, The Common Man, The Son of a Plumber Dusty Rhodes from Austin would join the WWE Hall of Fame during the Class of 2007.

Stone Cold Steve Austin

The Texas Rattlesnake, Stone Cold Steve Austin would be amongst the Class of 2009 to join the WWE Hall of Fame. The craziest part was the person who introduced him: the man Stone Cold would torture during his WWE run, Mr. Vincent Kennedy McMahon.

Terry & Dory Funk

They're not Texas born (they were born in Hammond Indiana), but they played a huge part in Texas wrestling: they both were essential to the promotion of the Amarillo West States Promotion. Also Terry's nickname was The Texan, while Dory was called either The Great Texan or The Long Tall Texan. So they belong here nonetheless

The Von Erichs

The Class of 2009 also saw the induction of the entire Von Erich family; Keith got to do the honors at the ceremony.

Wendi Richter

The first woman to represent Texas (and not the last) would be Wendi Richter from Dallas. She would join as part of the Class of 2010.

Shawn Michaels

Although born in Chandler, Arizona, Shawn would really start his career in San Antonio, Texas. The Heartbreak Kid was inducted twice; once on his own in 2011 & with D-Generation-X in 2019.

Barry Windham

Part of The Four Horsemen, Sweetwater's Barry Windham joined the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012

Booker T

Born in Louisiana, Booker T would become a staple in Houston, Texas. Just like with HBK, Booker T would also be inducted twice in the WWE Hall of Fame: Once on his own in 2013 & again with Harlem Heat in 2019.

Jake the Snake Roberts

Houston's Jake "The Snake" Roberts would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014.

Jacqueline

The next lady to join the WWE Hall of Fame was also from Dallas; Jacqueline would be inducted in the class of 2016.

Stan Hansen

The Bad Man From Borger, Texas, Stan Hansen (actually from Knox City) would join the Class of 16 alongside Jacqueline.

June Byers (Class of 17)

Houston's June Byers would be inducted during the Class of 2017 as part of the Legacy class.

Haystacks Calhoun

McKinney Texas's Haystacks Calhoun would also join June Byers in the Legacy class in 2017.

Mark Henry

Sexual Chocolate himself aka The World's Strongest Man, Mark Henry from Silsbee, Texas would be next joining the Class of 2018.

JBL

The Class of 2020 would see Sweetwater's John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL) be the next to be inducted into WWE's Hall of Fame.

The Undertaker

And finally the most recent addition to the WWE Hall of Fame is Houston's Mark Calaway, aka The Undertaker. The Deadman would join the Class of 2022.
