Larry Bird Museum launches website

FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Those looking to visit the soon to open Larry Bird Museum in Terre Haute during their grand opening can now make a reservation to do so.
The Larry Bird Museum website has officially launched. The site includes multiple brightly colored pictures of displays in the museum as well as an About page that describes why the museum was built and the history of Larry Bird’s career.
Folks can plan a visit including finding directions to the museum and links for local lodging and dining in the area.
“Fans, enthusiasts, and history buffs alike can immerse themselves in the legendary journey of one of basketball’s most iconic figures,” a Capital Improvement Board news release reads. “Admission to the museum is complimentary. However, to enhance the experience, reservations are required and can be conveniently made online through the website.”
The museum’s grand opening will be held on Friday, May 31. A downtown Terre Haute street fair called “Hoops Fest” will take place the day before. More information about these events can be found here .
