Thursday, the Terre Haute Action Track announced details of its 2023 racing season. In addition to the race schedule, officials announced the return of coolers to the infield area. Parking will be free this year as well.

The track also named its new promoter, Bill Rose Racing out of Plainfield.

Rose has a long racing career that started when he was a crew member for his dad Thomas “Spike” Rose. Bill later started racing himself beginning with go-karts, then sportsman stock cars, and finally sprint cars.

Rose said he’s excited about his new role as the track’s promotor.

“The history of this place is just so cool and the promoters they had last year, they did a lot to it and fixed the place up and that was great on that part,” Rose said. “So I’m kind of excited about getting started into it and another chapter of my racing stuff that’s going on.”

The Action Track’s schedule begins this season with the USAC Sumar Classic on April 16.

The Tony Hulman Classic will be held on May 23. The Indiana Sprint Week Race taking place on July 26.
