Lynn Haven's free Fall Concert Series was revived. Here's the line up
LYNN HAVEN — While no longer operated by the city, Lynn Haven's Fall Concert Series is back, and the show must go on. With Lynn Haven's finances in a precarious situation, and every local city facing the potential budgetary fallout of Amendment 3, cuts had to be made, and some items that are fun but unnecessary did not make it. Would residents live without the festivities just because the city couldn't pay for them? The Lynn Haven Community Fund's answer is no. Ryan Scray, a vocal local resident and president of the fund, told the News Herald that they were able to get business sponsors, vendors and food trucks to cover the costs necessary to continue the concert series. They held their first successful show on Oct. 1 with singer Zach Miller at Sharon J Sheffield Park, 901 Ohio Ave. The next show is Oct. 8, when Norah Bass is scheduled to play. Her songs could be described as a melodic southern-rock-country with inspiration from the landscapes of northwest Florida. This Florida Restaurant Still Sells Soup For 18 Cents—And Every Brunch Comes With Frozen Irish Coffee
Seafood shacks are a dime a dozen on the Gulf Coast, but there’s a legendary spot in Destin, Florida that trades in all the usual trappings of oceanfront establishments for traditions that are entirely its own. Inside McGuire’s Irish Pub, the moody, maze-like dining room is a far cry from the bright and airy seafood joints most vacationers are used to frequenting. The walls and ceilings are plastered in layers upon layers of dollar bills stapled down by appreciative customers. The restaurant claims they total to at least a million. It’s hard to imagine now considering its incredible scope (the restaurant seats upwards of 500 and also includes a gift shop, on-site brewery, and attached pizza and sushi restaurants), but McGuire’s actually started out as a small, neighborhood pub in a Pensacola shopping center in 1977. Five years later, it moved to a much bigger spot down the road. After that success, the Destin location opened its doors in 1996.

8 Secret Florida Buffets That Serve Real Homemade Comfort Food Just Like Grandma Used To Make
The best comfort food in Florida does not arrive with tweezers, tiny portions, or a speech from the chef. It arrives by the ladle. Hidden beyond the theme parks and polished resorts are buffets where chicken crackles in the fryer, biscuits rise in pans, and collard greens simmer until every bite tastes like somebody cared. The plates are heavy.
