New Mexico Heritage Rail hopes to turn steam engine into tourist attraction
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A 23-year restoration project is now in the books. A group of volunteers has recently finished restoring the 2926 steam engine in Albuquerque. "We had to take apart a lot of pieces, descale things, remove rust, paint a lot of things, make new parts," said New Mexico Heritage Rail board member John Roberts.

I-40 west closed near Route 66 Casino due to crash
