Kentucky State Police is investigating after human remains were discovered after a Spencer County residential fire.
On Monday afternoon at approximately 4:15, troopers responded to the fire on Chatman Lane, about four miles north of Taylorsville, after the remains of a female were found following a house fire, according to Kentucky State Police.
The body has not yet been identified, and the cause of death has not been determined.
The death investigation is being led by state police.
